The AX-212TR is an upgraded version of the AX-212/3V; it is a variable-curvature line array sound source featuring a three-way system comprising two 12" woofers, four 6.5" midrange drivers with low harmonic distortion, and two 1.4" waveguide-coupled high-frequency drivers. The low-frequency section utilizes a bass-reflex enclosure, MMSS technology (Mirror-Image Mechanical Suspension System), and a forced-air convection, low-power compression circuit. MMSS technology ensures consistent positive and negative excursion of the moving components, thereby achieving lower harmonic distortion. The midrange drivers employ 2" aluminum voice coils with nylon-fiberglass formers to further reduce harmonic distortion. The high-frequency drivers incorporate PM4 diaphragm technology—a system utilizing advanced polymer materials never before applied in the audio field—to establish a stronger bond between the dome and the voice coil former. This design enhances the driver's performance during prolonged high-power operation and delivers a more natural sound.
